Gloria Bird FNP-C (Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner) was born and raised in Uruguay. In 2004, he moved to Memphis, TN, thanks to an academic scholarship and the support of his parents.

She graduated from Christian Brothers University in 2008, completed her nursing degree in 2010, and eventually earned her master's degree from the University of Memphis. She was one of the first Latinas to graduate from said program. Currently, she remains the only bilingual licensed cosmetic injector in Memphis, and surrounding areas.

 

Gloria is dedicated to transformative, patient-centered care. With advanced training in hormone replacement treatments, she has honed her expertise through advanced education through World Link, A4M and the Institute of Functional Medicine, where she was a proud recipient of the Functional Medicine for All Scholarship, an award given to 22 candidates out of hundreds of applicants.

A strong advocate for the future of telemedicine, Gloria believes that accessible, quality healthcare should be available without limitations, particularly in today’s connected world. She has worked with cutting-edge health platforms like Moment Health (now Raena) and Hims & Hers, where she played an instrumental role as a pilot provider in the development of their weight loss program and hormone replacement therapy program. Gloria’s commitment to telemedicine and wellness technology positions her at the forefront of modern healthcare, ensuring patients receive convenient, high-quality care from any location.

 

MetroMed currently provides services in 12 other states in addition to TN, via telemedicine and plans to continue adding states as the practice continues to expand.
